Charging your headset Please refer to figure 2 on page 1. First-time use: Charge approximately 2 hours before using the headset. Recharging: When you hear 5 rapid high tones through the headset speaker repeated at 20-second intervals, the headset battery needs to be recharged. The rechargeable battery that powers this product must be disposed of properly and may need to be recycled. Contact your local recycling center for proper disposal methods. Never dispose of batteries in fire because they may explode. Notes: You can also use a Motorola Original Vehicle Power Adapter to charge the headset while in your vehicle. A fully charged headset battery provides approximately up to 5 hours of talktime and 100 hours of standby time (boom open). Wearing your headset Placing the headset on your ear: Changing for wear on the left ear: refer to figure 3 on page 2. refer to figure 4 on page 2.

Pressing the top volume key always increases the volume, and pressing the bottom always decreases the volume. To set up the volume up button, press and hold the multifunction button until the headset indicator turns on (boom closed), then press the volume key that you want to be used as "volume up". the phone to remember the headset's unique ID. Once your headset and phone are paired, your headset automatically connects to your phone any time you open the boom. Pairing With the headset and phone in close proximity: Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Step 4: Step 5: With the headset's boom closed, press and hold the multifunction button until the head set indicator turns on (the indicator will remain lit for about 3 seconds) Immediately open the boom (the indicator remains lit and the headset is now in pairing mode) Perform a device discovery (or scan) from the phone. For details about device discovery consult your phone's user guide. Select the Motorola headset in the list of discovered devices and confirm by following the on-screen prompts. When requested by the phone, enter the passkey 0000 and confirm.
Paired link to additional devices Your headset can store pairing information for up to eight different devices equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology. Devices are stored in a "Paired Device List" in memory in chronological order. When an attempt to pair to more than eight devices is made, the oldest paired device is removed from the list. Any of the eight paired devices can initiate a paired connection to the headset. The headset will only automatically initiate a paired connection (via opening the boom) with the last device it was connected to. If you want to connect the headset to another device in the paired device list, you must initiate the connection from that device. Whichever of the eight devices initiates a connection to the headset afterwards, that device then becomes the "last connected" device. Placing and receiving calls You can use the phone as usual to dial a number. You can answer calls when the headset is OFF (boom closed) by simply unfolding the boom. 7
